Planning - Pitch - Audience 2 (6)

As part of research into audience, we used social media sites to connect with people who listen to Wretch 32 and similar artists. We asked what they would expect from a hip hop music video.





Samuel and Fahmida also went out to HMV and asked general questions on music videos, hip-hop and Wretch 32. From this research we found that people thought Wretch 32 was a unique hip-hop artists in the way he creates his music videos for his songs. It doesn't generally follow the conventions of hip-hop music videos, which is why they like Wretch 32.


Following the public's opinion, we have decided to slightly divert from the conventions of hip-hop music video in order to create a recognisable and unique artist; for example, our video will not be disjunctured or have females which are sexualised.
